these are my sotryoard for my primalary, the numbers next to each shot is the shooting number. the shooting didn't excatly go to plan, most shoot's did go right.

research of horror and thriller tailers

i am watching some trailers to see what professinals do to make horror and thriller genres in films. by watching other peoples work you can see a link and which they all do.
music - it's makes you jump with big 'bangs' when the film is at a part which is ment to make you scared.

the primlary task what went right asnf wrong

The filming I did went alright. When I started filming there were some technical issues so I was quite late with editing. The filming I did was good there were some errors but I was pleased with it as it was the first time I did it. The filming didn’t go exactly with my story board. If I was to do the filming again I would plan it a lot more. Plus the filming would have been done more times so I had more clips to choose from. The filming did go with the rules. It had a 180* rule in place, it had a shot reverse shot and there was some match on action too. The errors witch occurred were that the door was open mid way through and at the end the door was shut. So it didn’t look professional. Another error was in the last shot when Craig was walking out you could see Mr Codling holding out the microphone. I was going to cut him out but I didn’t know how to use the software to do it.  These are things I can improve on. This task has made me think what things I can do right next time to not do these errors again.

my reflection on my work so far.

I think I have done well since I didn’t do it for a GCSE; I have picked up on it. I find it quite challenging, I find it exciting as it makes me push myself. The work we do is a lot different to what I have done before.  This term I am going to do my homework as soon as I can. This is because I leave it too long and it’s not my best standard. This first term show me how much work I need to do and up my game. I really like the work we do in class. I need to come into school for the new project in my own time to do editing and other things.

1		2 pupils walking down a school corridor. Middle range	The boy says to the girl “bye I just have to speak to my form tutor”
2		Boy sitting down with teacher.	The teacher talks to Boy about not being in a lesson.
3		Shot reverse shot is used	They chat about being in lesson with dialogue.
4		The last shot of the shot reverse shot is a reaction of the teacher, so it focuses on him.	The teacher speaking to the boy in shock.
5	Then the camera goes over to the table with each character on each side.		The teacher gets annoyed and raises his voice to the boy.
6	The last shot is the boy walking out of the room and slamming the door. This is from the perspective of the teacher still sitting.		When the boy is walking out he turns back and then talks to the teacher.

storyboard.

my storyboard shows shots which i have thought about and what i want  them to look like. it also includes the action which will happen in them, the camera shot, mise en scene and sound. this is what would be in every shot. the story board is ment to tell a story through pictures. i have done one for my primlimary project. i will try to get a photo of this a put it on here.

research

i did some research for the prelimary project. i did this reseach on camera shots. i looked at the shot revrse shot and the 180 degree rule. i did this becuase i thought it would help and give me a better understanding. i also looked up match on action.
the 180 degree rule

this means that the dotted line is the 180 dergree line. if your filming you vannot cros this line as it looks wierd. so the rule is stay one side of the line. the picture shows it.

shot reverse shot is where you do the 180 degree rule, but you shoot facing at one person. then face back from the other person then back to the orginal shot.

kett creative arts

we looked at the kett creative arts website. this website showed you lots of things to help with the task in hand. it showed how people have done it before and past examples. also there was a blog telling you what things meant and how films/telivision shows put it across. As most of there videos was on vimeo, i went to the site and searched kett creative arts. nothing came up, so i kept going to the example blogs. Plus it shows past peoples work, so it's good to see that put across for us to look at.

analyising the first minutes of dramas and trailers

we looked at the tv drama 'the body farm' we only watched the first minute. from that first minute we noticed alot. there was 12 shots taken. from that first minute we found out quite abit from the story. it was quite interesting that we found out alot from the first minute. there also was a voice over. the voice over was a signifier. it gave clues about the plot. they had different shots in there. they had a pan down shot, which started of out of focus then into focus. then had a tracfking shot of a boy who looks like he is involed with the story. they had a eslabing shot to shown were it was basesd. they also had a good transistion which came from the sky turning into some waves. for the first couple of minutes they pay alot of attension to detail.

preliminary task - 2 minute video trailer

this task is a where you have to create a trailer/ 2 minute video. the video must include someone walking into a room sitting down and some dialogue to whom is alreadly sitting down then one gets up and leaves.

my video is going to be about a student and a teacher, and the teacher is already in the room, then the student is called in by the teacher, the boy sits down and they talk about school and that the boy have been bunking in art. but the boy never had art the day before, so the teacher ask him if his alex partner, which the boy isn't. the boy is then dismissed by the teacher, the teacher acts angry as he just made a fool of himself. the boy goes out of the classroom then turns back and tells the teacher the boy who he talks about doesn't go to the school anymore. the teacher then looks down and see's the date and is shocked.
